The Days of his Grace (Swedish: ''Hans nĂ¥des tid'') is a 1960 novel by Swedish Nobel laureate Eyvind Johnson. Set mostly in northern Italy, close to Aquileia, during the Holy Roman Empire, it tells the tale of a family caught up in a minor war.
The novel is considered to be one of Eyvind Johnson's major work[citation needed].
