[edit] Historical accuracy
The film portrays the events around the assassination during April 3-April 15, 1865. There were very few errors in the movie, but among them are:
- There were only a few people present at the death of Lincoln. In the movie, there are many.
- Clara Harris wore a white satin dress on the actual night. In the film, it is black.
- The other boxes in the theatre, other than the one containing the presidential party, were not in use that night.
