The Dallas Contemporary is a non-profit, nationally awarded contemporary art space located at 2801 Swiss Avenue in the Wilson Historic District of east Dallas, Texas (USA). The director Joan Davidow is truly dedicated to nurturing, following, and supporting emerging Texas artists. The facility, located one mile east of the downtown Arts District spotlights smart art created by emerging Texas talents.
20 challenging exhibitions yearly feature theme shows based on artists' ideas, solo shows by diverse artists, sculpture in the garden, and a member artist chosen for the hall.
The ArtThink education program, as well as studio art classes and resource room for artists add to the mix ~ programs to engage and educate fresh minds.
Fun fundraising events include an annual Legends awards party to honor Texas artists, arts professionals, and patrons and our Wish! Auction of hot Texas art.
Visitors can experience the welcoming, high-ceilinged galleries filled with natural light for free from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 5pm.
