The Cuff Links

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cuff Links were an American rock/pop group from Staten Island, New York. The lead singer of the prefab bubblegum pop group The Archies, Ron Dante, was a member of The Cuff Links before the Archies hit the U.S. Top Ten in 1969 with "Sugar, Sugar". After this song's success, he returned to duty with The Cuff Links, who then scored two U.S. hit singles, 1969's "Tracy" (U.S. #9, U.S. AC #5) and 1970's "When Julie Comes Around" (U.S. #41).[1] Their Decca Records album, Tracy, peaked at #138 on the Billboard 200 in 1970.[2] Dante refused to go on tour with either group and as a result The Cuff Links broke up soon afterwards.[3]
