The Crooked Codpiece Company is a professional theatre company in Lincoln, NE that specializes in presenting comedies. Founded in 2001 by veteran actors and long-time friends, Tom Crew and Patrick Lambrecht, when asked to put together a fund-raising production for the Lincoln Community Playhouse. Along with fellow actor Brad Boesen, they created the fake comedy trio "The Crooked Codpiece Company" to present the hilarious "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" to capacity houses and critical acclaim. Soon after the fundraiser was completed it was decided to convert the facade into reality, and the CCC was born.
The mission statement for the CCC reads as follows (from the CCC web site): Our mission is to give our patrons a thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring evening of theatre. We do this by:
- presenting the best plays of classic and contemporary theatre;
- showcasing the talents of Lincoln's finest actors, directors, and designers;
- devoting the full force of our creativity to each production; and
- performing in an architecturally unique setting that is accessible and comfortable.

[edit] Founding members
Patrick Lambrecht Although Patrick began his theatrical career two decades ago and has over 74 productions to his credit, he still feels that he has a lot to learn. Having attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln where he earned a degree in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Directing and Design, he continually strives to hone his skills as a director and performer. Prior to forming the CCC with friend and colleague, Tom Crew, Patrick was very active in the theatre community, performing and directing for multiple venues within the state of Nebraska. He admits the source of his talents stems from the love for his wife and children.
Thomas Crew Thomas has been involved in theatre since childhood and has performed in over 50 productions in Lincoln since attending college. Thomas received a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. He has performed at UNL, The Lied Center, the Haymarket Theatre, the Lincoln Community Playhouse, and the Swan Theatre, as well as appeared on national television. Tom enjoys the challenges of acting, especially comedy, and wishes to thank his family for their support.
