The Council is the name of a Harlem drug syndicate, run by gangster Nicky Barnes.
- The Council can also refer to the Xindi Council, also from Star Trek: Enterprise.
"The Council" is the title of an episode from the third season of the television show Star Trek: Enterprise.
[edit] Plot summary
This episode involves Archer's attempt to convince the Xindi Council that humanity is not the true enemy, but the Trans-Dimensional Beings known as the Sphere Builders. He manages to convince all of the species except the Reptilians and the Insectoids. The Reptillians, along with the Insectoids, seize control of the weapon and deploy it. Degra is murdered by Commander Dolim and the Xindi-Reptilians kidnap Hoshi Sato.
Also during this episode T'Pol, Reed, Travis and a MACO are sent by Archer to infiltrate one of the Sphere Builders spheres and retrieve its memory core. During the operation the MACO officer is killed leaving T'Pol, Reed and Travis to return to Enterprise.
