The Compton School is situated on Summers Lane, North Finchley, London. It is a comprehensive school for boys and girls aged eleven to sixteen and the school years are year 7 to year 11.

The school is located on the site of Finchley Manorhill School, which was progressively closed in the late 1980s. The buildings were reopened as the Compton School in 1992. Recently the school has undergone an expansion making it larger.

The school became a Beacon school in 1999 and has been a Technology College since 2001.

The school is known for its high success and brilliant OFSTED reports; the school is also known for its links with Woodhouse College.
