The Colonel can refer to:

• Colonel Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)
• Colonel Tom Parker, the manager for Elvis Presley
• The Colonel (play), an 1881 play by F. C. Burnand
• The Colonel satire publication, student-run sociopolitical satire publication founded by students at the University of Kentucky in 2004
• Anyone with the military rank of Colonel, whether actively serving or retired, may be referred to informally as The Colonel, although neither of the above two individuals actually held this rank. Both Sanders and Parker were "Kentucky colonels."
