[edit] Massie
The first installment of the Clique Summer Collection was released on April 1, 2008. Massie gets kicked out of her exclusive riding camp for gluing her teammate to the saddle (who happens to be the owner's grandaughter), and has to go to Southhampton with her parents at their summer house. Kendra makes Massie get a job and she cannot go shopping until she earns enough money to pay her parents back for the riding camp. In the meantime, Massie's Visa is canceled! Massie gets a job at Be Pretty Cosmetics, but has trouble selling the cosmetics and using the "beautiful inside and out" slogan. She decides to instead tell her clients how truly horrible they look so that they will buy her fart, and she soons becomes the best Be Pretty seller in history. How she got to the top also happened from her party where she told everyone how ugly they looked and what products they needed to use. At an awards ceremony, were Massie is to get her purple hair streak, which is a company tradition for the best sellers and offers VIP treatment anywhere in the world, it is revealed how Massie got her success, and the owner of the company makes her choose between apologizing to the clients, or giving up her purple streak. Instead of apologizing, Massie announces that she is retiring, and then steals the purple hair marker from the owner. A member of the Pretty Commitee (especially her) couldn't give up so fast and say sorry to the public.

Dylan and her TV host mom, Merri-Lee Marvil, are off to Hawaii's Aloha Tennis Open. While Merri-Lee interviews tennis's wild child Svetlana "tennis the menace" Slootskyia, Dylan lets the tropical sun melt away the memory of getting dumped by two guys at the end of seventh grade. But between mud masks and poolside naps, Dylan falls in love with a turtle named J.T. She soon realizes the only way to score a date with him is to master the game. So, she blackmails Svetlana to teach her to play. In the end, Dylan loses J.T to Svetlana, yet she snags a new guy, Brady Erickson, the Aloha Tennis champion, who likes her back.

Part three was released June 3, 2008. Alicia takes on Mission Spalpha: Spanish-Alpha! While in Spain, Alicia discovers that iIgnacio!, the Spanish pop star, is looking for a super star in his new music video for his hit single. If Alicia is cast, Massie will never call her Fannish (fake Spanish) again, but she has to beat her beautiful cousins first. Will Nina snag her perhaps only chance to alpha-stardom? One thing is certain, Alicia will claw her way in if she has to.

The fourth part in the miniseries will be released July 1, 2008. While the rest of PC is around the world, Kristen gets stuck spending her summer landlocked in Westchester. Just when she's about to swim out a shore-to-ship SOS to her friends, she scores a job looking after hang-ten Dune Baxter's bratty younger sister, Ripple. Suddenly, Kristen goes from fun to totally fun as she swims the wave of love.

Back in Orlando for the summer, Claire is reunited with her Florida best friends Sarah,Sari, and Mandy after a long year apart. And they havent changed at all. Too bad they think Claire has... and not for the better. Claire sets out to prove her loyalty to them by helping her friends compete in the Kissiemme's Miss Kiss pagaent. But then a very special alpha shows up and vows to steal the crown. Claire finds her self to be caught between Keds and couture. Claire must choose between the fierce Massie or her pals who she's been friends with before Massie came along.

In the back of Bratfest at Tiffany's, there was a locker calendar with markings of when the Summer Collection books come out and their covers. The covers are different than the ones shown above. There was also a Current State of The Union chart of Massie's with statements about each of the PC member's summer plans.

On March 12th, Lisi Harrison revealed on her blog that there would be a box set of the Clique Summer Series to be released in October. Preview pictures were show as it being a box with all 5 girls of the covers on the top, then it opened to be the 5 books and a mirror. It is to be packaged as a trunk case. Also, it is to include five Glossip Girls, which are the fictional lip-gloss-a-day glosses that Massie receives every morning.
