The Clicking of Cuthbert
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Clicking of Cuthbert is a collection of ten short stories by P. G. Wodehouse, as well as the name of the collection's namesake story, which in 1924 was made into a film starring Peter Haddon as Cuthbert. The volume was first published in the United Kingdom on February 3, 1922 by Herbert Jenkins, London, and in the United States on May 28, 1924 by George H. Doran, New York, under the title Golf Without Tears.
The stories' common subject matter is the sport of golf, its players, culture, and history; the first story in the collection introduces the Oldest Member, a repeat Wodehouse character, who narrates all stories but the last.
