The Cleopatras

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cleopatras is a British television series produced by the BBC in 1983.

The eight-part serial was a historical drama set in ancient Egypt and charted the ruling dynasty of the Cleopatras. Intended to be the I, Claudius of the 1980s, The Cleopatras met with a decidedly mixed critical reaction.

The production was written by Philip Mackie, directed by John Frankau and produced by Guy Slater.
