The Cheese is a LPFM (Low Power FM) radio station which broadcasts from Wainuiomata, a small town close to Wellington in New Zealand. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day. The Cheese is licenced with APRA & PPNZ New Zealand for music broadcasting rights and operates under the NZ laws governing LPFM transmission.

The Cheese commenced broadcasting on Saturday July 1st 2006.
The station can be heard in Wainuiomata on 88.4mhz FM with simulcasting via their website www.thecheese.co.nz. Subscribers to Telstra Clear can hear The Cheese on channel 511.

The Cheese broadcasts a mix of music from the 80s, 90s, recent and current hits. The Cheese also carries a number of specialist music shows including Back To The 80s and The 80s Lunchbox (80s memories), The Saturday Night Party Zone with Glen McBride (Dance Classics), The Late Zone and Cheeze Pleeze.
