The Chafford School, A Specialist Business and Enterprise College is a mixed comprehensive secondary school located in Rainham in the London Borough of Havering.
Recently, the school has been awarded specialist Business & Enterprise status. Since acquiring specialist status, the school has constructed a brand new business studies wing. There are approximately 1000 pupils currently attending The Chafford in the 11-16 year old age range.
The Chafford prides itself on excellent standards of teaching: this has been confirmed in a recent Ofsted report [1]; and, as a result, it is oversubscribed on an annual basis. The school’s mission statement is ‘Achievement for all through the pursuit of excellence’. The Chafford School is an Investor in People.
The school is partnered with a number of local primary schools, including Rainham Village Primary School, Parsonage Farm Primary School and Brady Primary School (with whom The Chafford shares a border).
A series of events are held annually for school leavers, including a prom at a local hotel, and a leaver’s lunch (a non-uniform event at the very end of the term).
