The Center School is a public middle school located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City, United States.

This school was founded by Elaine Schwartz in 1982, and as of 2008 she is still serving as the Director. This is a small school with 204 students from the 5th to 8th grades. The school has very small classes of about 12 to 18, and mixes grades in all classes except for Math, Lit and Latin (the only language that is taught to all 6th grade students).
