The Calling is a contemporary opera for solo soprano and tape written by composer Jorge Sosa. It has violent, sometimes graphic content, and is recognizable by its eclectic and electronic sounds.
The Calling received it world premier on September 11, 2007 at the Art Institute in Kansas CIty, MO. It has since be performed in Mexico City, and has an upcoming performance at Union Station, presented by the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
