The Bridge to Total Freedom, or simply The Bridge for short, is the Church of Scientology's guide to members of how to advance in the church through auditing and other services. The Bridge is explained by a chart that shows the levels one must pass through to reach Clear and ultimately, Operating Thetan.[1] A printed edition of this chart can be obtained at Scientology missions, churches and other orgs.

The Bridge is broken down into two parallel paths, Training and Processing. Processing addresses the Scientology devotee's "case" or how they function in life as influenced by their "aberrations". The Training path teaches Hubbard's theories on the nature of life and the universe and the techniques of auditing and participants feel that this knowledge greatly enhances their ability to be effective in life whether they audit another or not. Scientologists can travel up either side of the Bridge and many do both sides. Although not part of the formal Bridge, the chart also lists a large number of optional courses and training actions that can be done by Scientologists.

Scientology's chart of the Bridge shows several routes by which someone can move onto the Bridge. These include Dianetics seminars, L. Ron Hubbard communication courses, The Way to Happiness, the Scientology Training Routines, and the Purification Rundown. Components of these in-routes are available through Scientology-affiliated organizations, such as Narconon, Criminon, and Applied Scholastics.

The Training column begins at the bottom with five "Not Classed" levels, followed by Class 0 through Class 12.

The Processing column begins at the bottom with the Purification Rundown, two optional completions, the Happiness Rundown, ARC Straightwire, Grades Zero through Four, NED (New Era Dianetics), Expanded Dianetics, the Clear Certainty Rundown, CLEAR, the Sunshine Rundown, Solo Course pt.1, OT Prep, Solo Course pt.2, OT Eligibility, and then Operating Thetan (OT) Levels One through Fifteen. Levels above Eight (OTVIII) are not expected to be released until the opening of the Super Power Building in 2008.
