The Boy With the X-Ray Eyes, released in 1995 was the first album from Babylon Zoo. It received favourable reviews[citation needed] and peaked at number 6 in the album chart, though it did not match the success of its first single "Spaceman" which reached number 1 in 23 countries.

Other singles released from this album were Animal Army, which reached 17 in the charts and "The Boy With The X-Ray Eyes", which reached 32.
