The Bootleg of the Bootleg EP was released as Jean Grae's second album in 2003. After this album was released, The Roots as well as others realized Jean Grae's talent and gave her guest appearances on their albums. She is now part of the OkayPlayer artist collective.

After track 6, "Chapter One: Destiny", the tracklisting indicates the rest of the album consists of 'hidden bootleg tracks'. You'll only see six tracks on any player, but there are in fact seventeen. The hidden tracks are known as "45 Minute Megamix" and many sample beats from prominent rappers like Jay-Z and Nas.
