[edit] Plot

Steve Forrester is a teenager who lives in a rural motel with his parents, who are the managers of the motel. His summers are spent roaming through the nearby woods and playing around the motel grounds.

One day, he notices a man checking into the motel behaving strangely. He is wearing a scarf, hat, and trench coat, unusual attire for summer. Steve begins spying on this man trying to learn his secrets.

Throughout the man's stay, Steve learns that a robbery, large sums of cash and possibly extraterrestrials are involved. Soon, Steve's spying is discovered, and the race is on as to whether Steve can escape and notify the authorities before being silenced.
