The Best of Everything (1958) is the first novel by Rona Jaffe. It is the story of five young employees of a New York publishing company. In 1959, the novel became a movie released by Twentieth Century Fox with Diane Baker, Hope Lange, Stephen Boyd, Suzy Parker, Robert Evans, Brian Aherne, and Joan Crawford as Amanda Farrow, a hard-driving book editor.

The novel was also made into a Soap Opera. The show aired on ABC from March 30th to September 25th 1970. It was written by James Lipton.
