The Beets is a fictional hard rock band originating from the hit Nickelodeon television series Doug. It is a British/American band, parodying the looks and sounds of the famous British rock bands The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The most noticeable parody of The Beatles is an album, Let it Beet, mimicking the title of The Beatles' famous Let it Be album and The Rolling Stones's Let It Bleed. The Beets have appeared in a few Doug episodes, but their music is present many times during the series.
In 1994, Doug left Nickelodeon, and in 1996, Disney took over the show, and made several changes among the characters. One of those changes was the separation of Bluffington's favorite band, The Beets. In the Disney series, the members of The Beets go their separate ways, performing solo.
