[edit] Synopsis
An easy-to-scare boy named Cooper and his family move into a new house near a part of the forest haunted by ghost dogs. Cooper and his new friend, a girl named Fergie, plot to capture the ghost dogs, but are taken to a hollow shack where the dogs switch Cooper's and Fergie's bodies with their bodies. Cooper and Fergie track down the ghost dogs that took their human bodies and lead them back to the tree so they can switch back...but Fergie and Cooper end up being switched with two chipmunks.
[edit] TV Adaptation
- The TV version follows the book version, except for the end. Cooper and Fergie do get put back into their normal bodies, but Cooper's brother is the one who ends up in the body of a chipmunk and left in the woods.
