[edit] Plot summary

Kayla Marie Reed is about to turn seventeen, the age when she can get her bar code tattoo. But she is not sure if she wants it, as her father's suicide may be related to his getting one. The tattoo, or "'too" as often referred to in the book, contains much information such as one's drivers license, medical records, age, and much more. She suspects that something is wrong, and runs away. Soon she finds a small group of people who are on her side, and together they find out what is going on with the barcode and Global-1, the company which apparently wants to take over the entire world.
