From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Association of Kuvayı Milliye (in Turkish, Kuvayı Milliye Derneği) is an ultra-nationalist organization continuing its activities in Mersin, Turkey. It was founded by a retired Turkish army Coronel Fikri Karadağ, a former member of Vatansever Kuvvetler Güçbirliği Derneği (The Union of Power of Patriotic Forces) which organized an attack on the Turkish council of state (Danıştay)[1]. The organization is known as a militant group that requires its members to be "pure Turkish"[2].
