The Assistants is a half-hour scripted comedy from directors Will McRobb (Radio Free Roscoe) & Chris Viscardi (The Adventures of Pete & Pete). The series revolves around the lives of four young Hollywood assistants (played by Britt Irvin, Meaghan Rath, Brendan Penny [from Whistler] and Simeon Taole) as they compete for the approval of their eccentric boss, the power-producer Zach (played by Zak Santiago).
The show is produced by The Tom Lynch Company, the creators of The N's South of Nowhere. Production for season 1 runs from early August to December 2007 and premieres summer 2008 on The N.
