[edit] History
Founded in 2004, the venture began as one music lover's vision of staging great live music in non-traditional settings, and his desire to share these concerts with friends and fans. Initially a series of intimate living room concerts, the Artists Den has expanded to include concerts across North America and Europe by some of today's most significant names in music – in venues as varied as an abandoned warehouse in San Francisco, Christie’s auction house in London, a private Southampton beach house, and the diamond floor of Tiffany’s on Fifth Avenue.[1][2][3]

[edit] Live from the Artists Den
Live from the Artists Den is a music television series featuring acclaimed artists performing in extraordinary settings.[4] After a sneak preview of the first episode (KT Tunstall) on January 13, 2008, it will air Thursday nights at 8 pm ET/PT on Ovation TV, presented by Grey Goose Entertainment, whose first series was Iconoclasts on Sundance Channel.[5][6]
Each hour-long episode of the series will present performances and interview segments from special Artists Den concerts – noted for both the caliber of the artists performing and their creative settings. Each venue is carefully chosen to complement the artist. The pairings featured in the first season include:
- KT Tunstall at the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan
- Crowded House at the Masonic Hall Grand Lodge of New York
- Josh Ritter at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
- Ben Harper in Manchester, Tennessee at the 2007 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival
- Fountains of Wayne on a 100-year-old ship docked at New York’s South Street Seaport
- The Swell Season (from the Fox Searchlight film Once) at the Good Shepherd Center Chapel in Seattle

- Aimee Mann at Vibiana Cathedral in downtown Los Angeles
