The Art Institute of Tucson – is one of The Art Institutes, a system of more than 40 educational institutions located throughout North America, providing education in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts.
The Art Institute of Tucson was founded in 1996 as the Fleur de Lis Institute of Interior Design, and was later known as Tucson Design College [1]. It was renamed The Art Institute of Tucson in 2007 when it was purchased by Education Management Corporation, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Located at 5099 East Grant Road in Tucson, Arizona, The Art Institute of Tucson is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).[2]

According to articles in several media sources, The Art Institute of Tucson is active in sponsoring or staging local community events in the Tucson area such as the Holiday Interior Design, Styles and Trends Workshop [3], the disABLED Divaz Fashion Show [4], and the Best Teen Chef competition [5].
