"The Apple Stretching/Nipple to the Bottle" is the second and last single from Grace Jones' album Living My Life. Her 3rd and last album recorded in the famous Compass Point Studios in Nassau, Bahamas.

The song were released as a double A with "Nipple to the Bottle", both songs taken first credit in various countries. The single edit of The Apple Stretching is rather uninspired and the result was total exclusion from the world's music charts. "The Apple Stretching" was simultaneously released in a 12" version, clocking in at 8:40. It include an omitted (on the album) second verse of the song, where Grace sings together with a bass guitar only along with funky percussion. This version remains unreleased on CD.
