The Apple Pan

The Apple Pan is a restaurant on Pico Boulevard in West Los Angeles. It opened in 1947 and is locally famous for its hickory hamburgers and apple pies served with vanilla ice cream. It consists of a single, U-shaped counter surrounding the central food prep area. The paucity of stools results in a standing room only atmosphere during peak times. Closed on Mondays, The Apple Pan is open late (until 1 a.m. on weekends) and is a popular destination for after-hours burger aficionados.
As the burger joint is located a short drive away from 20th Century Fox studios, it is not uncommon to find celebrities noshing.

- Six Feet Under - In the first season episode "Life's Too Short", Nate Fisher (Peter Krause) asks his sister Claire (Lauren Ambrose) if she wants to go to the Apple Pan to eat together.
- Lovelineco-host, Stryker, frequently references The Apple Pan, and often tries to invite Dr. Drew to go with him, boasting they have the best tuna melt.
