The Anthology 1961-1977 is a well-received compilation of The Impressions and Curtis Mayfield songs. The two discs stress The Impressions, and although the Mayfield solo selections are spare, they are well-chosen. In 2003, the album was ranked number 179 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. [1]
