"The Animal Song" is a song by Savage Garden, released in 1999. It was written for The Other Sister soundtrack, but also appeared on their Affirmation album as well as their Truly Madly Completely: The Best of Savage Garden. It was Savage Garden's first encounter with Walter Afanasieff—a producer well-known for his work with Mariah Carey—who would later produce the Affirmation album (and also Darren Hayes' first solo album, Spin).
