The American Band

The American Band is a community band based in Providence, Rhode Island. Since its founding in 1837, it has performed continuously, and is one of the oldest bands in the country. The band was at the first Battle of Bull Run, and has performed at the Boston Festival of Bands at Faneuil Hall for the last 10 years. Many of the members are music educators, and others are involved in other careers.
