The Amazing Nina Simone is an album by singer/pianist/songwriter Nina Simone. It was her first album for the label Colpix Records, which would quickly be followed by 8 albums on the same label, before signing with Philips Records in 1964. The album still very much oozes the atmosphere of upper-class cocktail Jazz, in accordance with the image she had on her debut album, Little Girl Blue (1958) for Bethlehem Records. It also has some folk songs on it (for example "Children Go Where I Send You").
