[edit] Plot summary
William O'Shetlaen is a gifted and troubled Warlock who hails from the stormy world of Nifelheim. He became a veteran in the Holy War, fighting against the Yuglovian Empire and its exotic race of zealous goblins.
In the drastic aftermath of the Holy War, the battle-scarred Warlock exiles himself to the Old World, a parallel dimension known to its inhabitants as 'Earth'. For one hundred years William lives in solitude, trying to forget his dark past until one night - a nemesis emerges from the shadows. Drago su'Hail, the Emperor's Champion has tracked William to a small and seedy den in Dublin, Ireland, in the 1800s, where William is about to make a very dangerous mistake. The Emperor's Champion who is renowned for his madness and battle-might, is wary of the Warlock however, and has drawn more shadowy players into the hunt for William.
William, discovering that almost everyone is after him, must once again flee to a new and better life. In the process, he forges an unlikely friendship with a Human family who are also escaping their past troubles. Soon, the Humans become a target of the fanatical Drago and his shady allies. Yet as they try to keep one step ahead of the mad Yuglovian, William and the Humans begin to believe that theirs was a fate long since entwined. Through a Fortelling and strange encounters, William and the Humans are yet to realise that even greater dangers lie ahead in their new lives.
Fate has drawn O'Shetlaen back to his true purpose ... He must overcome the nightmares of his past to rise once more as Warlock.
