The Adventures of Pinocchio (Italian: Le avventure di Pinocchio), by Raoul Verdini and Umberto Spano, was supposed to be the first animated feature film from Italy, but was never completely finished. It is considered a lost film. The Italian artist Mario Pompei did the scenography of this black and white film.
