The Absolute Sound

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Absolute Sound (often referred to as "TAS") is an American monthly magazine which reviews audiophile-oriented sound-reproduction and recording equipment and recordings, and comments on various music-related subjects. It was founded in 1973 by Harry Pearson, who remains the Chairman of its Editorial Advisory Board and regularly contributes a feature entitled HP's Workshop. The magazine is published by Absolute Multimedia, Inc., of Austin, Texas.

Harry Pearson - often referred to as HP, is known amongst the HiFi fraternity to have "Golden Ears" - the ability to hear very acutely and able to distinguish tiny differences between different components in the music playing HiFi systems reviewed by him and his colleagues.
