The 1234 was a self-financed EP that theSTART recorded and released in 2002, limited to only 500 copies. The EP was sold exclusively on the band's website as well as on the road since they had no record label at the time. The EP is somewhat of a rare gem to come by nowadays and has been known to sell for nearly $30 on eBay (it was only $5 when new). The EP served as a preview of what was to come with theSTART EP/Death Via Satellite EP.
