The Maple Leaf Award rewards Wikipedia contributors for coverage of topics related to Canada, as well as for community work related to Canadian projects. The Maple Leaf Award comes in three levels. Red for give a user a small kudos for a useful series of edits that you saw them make or for one particularly clever edit that deserves mention. Silver is for completion of a major initiative, such as writing a featured article about Canada or standardising a series about one Canada-related topic. Gold is awarded for a user that you have seen put months or years of hard work into all aspects of Canada-related articles.

- Parameters
- type: can take the values Red, Silver or Gold (for specific, regional of general contributions to Canada related topics).
