[edit] Bogardus

Bogardus, funny name! It most certainly sounds like a latinized German surname, such as Bogart, and also like Swedish/Danish/Norwegian "bo" (house/nest) + "gård" (garden/yard). It doesn't make an entry in my Latin ↔ English Dictionary. I think this might be a hoax. I'll see if I can find an entry at The VizieR Catalogue Service, it uses to be complete. Nope, nilnada at VizieR! I'll make a google. Said: Rursus 18:49, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Google makes a number of hits on Bogardus plus theta Aur, but most looks like copies of Wikipedia, parts of info collected from Wikipedia, and the rest like amateur astron. discussions. Bogardus is probably a hoax. Said: Rursus 18:55, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
I forgot to say: Bogardus is intensely ugly too. It sounds like the quacking of toads in a stinky midgetfilled pond a summer night in May. Said: Rursus 19:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
