This page does not conform well to the other articles on the Hawaiian monarchy. At the very least, we should drop the "Princess," and even then, "Theresa Laanui" should suffice IMO. Aoi 10:47, 4 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I disagree, Princess Theresa Owana La'anui is a princess by birth. No one can remove that. Professors and the board of royal genealogy has already published this information as well as King Kamehameha III.

Owana Ka'ohelelani Mahaelani-rose Salazar = Owana Salazar. born 30th October 1953, educ. Kamehameha Sch. and Univ. of Hawaii. Slack-key guitarist and singer. m. (first) Ronald Walters. m. (second) ca. 1980, Kaipo DeGuire. She has issue: (a) Noa Kalokuokamaile DeGuire. b. 19th November 1981 (son/o Kaipo DeGuire). (b) Kapumahana Ka'ahumanu Walters. b. 15th October 1979 (daughter/o Ronald Walters).


Deceased pretender:

Helena Kalokuokamaile Wilcox = Helen Salazar-Mach. born at Honolulu, Oahu, 13th April 1917, died at Haleiwa, Honolulu, Oahu, 19 Sept 1988. A claimant to the Hawaiian crown (under no comprehensible system of regal succession!). Head of the Ka Lahui Hawaii Org 1987-1988. m. (first) Henry Mario Salazar (b. at Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico,22nd November 1919; d. at Honolulu, Oahu, 23rd August 1968), younger son of Manuel Bernardino Salazar, by his wife, Maria Enriqetta de la Huerta. m. (second) …Mach. She was the eldest daughter (her brothers surviving) of Robert Garibaldi Kalani-kupuapai Kalani-nui Keoua Wilcox (1893-1934) and his first wife Helen Kaleipuanani Simerson Wilberton. Robert was son of Theresa Laanui and her second husband Colonel Robert Wilcox.

Despite of having also surviving sons, Helen's heiress as pretender is her daughter Owana (1953-), above.
