There is more the the thenar eminence than muscle groups. For example, in addressing this topic, one should also consider sensroy properties and innervation of the region.

This page says that the adductor pollicis is innervated by the median nerve. However, the page on adductor pollicis says that it is innervated by the ulnar nerve, as does the textbook I have to hand (Whitaker and Borley's "Instant Anatomy" 3rd ed). 58.28.145.208 09:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
