Talk:The three boys (opera)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is no such opera (The three boys). The whole article should be deleted and instead be incorporated into Die Zauberflöte.
What's worse, due this article's categorisation, it appeared as an entry in Category:Operas_by_Wolfgang_Amadeus_Mozart; I have now removed that categorisation.--Michael Bednarek 03:33, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
This is not an opera, so it shouldn't be categorised that way. The article is unencyclopedic; it contains unsourced assertions and assumptions in almost every sentence; what's the relevance of Guy Davenport here? The article also misspells Sarastro's name. - Yes, I know I could fix that, but it illustrates nicely the amateurish character of the article. Michael Bednarek 04:52, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Would re-titling the article help at all? Something like "The three boys (operatic characters)" perhaps. Not exactly the solution you're looking for but perhaps in combination with a pruning of the text itself it would inch things in a better direction. 14:18, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- IMO, it can be called anything as long as it is not categorised as operatic. The article is so muddled, it should be deleted. I failed once to get it deleted; may be some day somebode else will succeed. Michael Bednarek 05:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
Corrected the spelling of Sarastro. Yes, the title should read The three boys (opera characters) rather than The three boys (opera). Erudil 15:58, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
Removing Essay-Entry and Tone tags. The issue with this article is pretty clearly its place in Wikipedia ontology; the actual text is fairly unobjectionable if for some reason you are looking for information about these particular characters. Cosh (talk) 23:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
