I do not understand why this page is being considered for deletion. It is a real organization and event - although it is not a 501(c)3 nor does it have any grant monies - that's how these things get started. Please explain the problem and it will be fixed.--Kirinv 16:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

The problem is that there is no evidence of this event/organization being covered in multiple, independent, non-trival sources (i.e. newspapers and so on). Without such sources, there is no evidence of them satisfying Wikipedia's requirements for notability and verifiability. ~Matticus ^T_C 16:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

I see. That makes sense. Explaination - the papers have yet to be alerted because the event is still a month out. I am planning on going to the papers in two weeks. Can we wait until the articles are out before action is taken? --Kirinv 16:39, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
