Talk:The Yayhoos
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I see there are doubts expressed about the Yayhoos notability. Seems to me that they meet at least 3 criteria:
- Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country.
Yes: have toured the US, the UK, continental Europe.
- Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable).
Yes: 2 albums with Bloodshot records.
- Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
Yes: Eric Ambel is a past (and possibly future) member of Steve Earle and the Dukes.
Naturally, this needs supporting from reputable sources, but the claim to notability is reasonable. Bristoleast 16:51, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- By the two records released, they meet WP:MUSIC. I will remove the notability tag. Sorted as part of the Notability wikiproject. --B. Wolterding 15:52, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
