This article has been rated Stub as there is so little about the "Novel series" itself. There is huge scope for this to be created as a separate article with later article for each novel. But it will need plenty of material and referencing to warrant that. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 10:40, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Comparisons with Harry Potter
I know there is a lot of similarites with "The Worst Witch" and "Harry Potter & ..." but this doesn't have to be badly drawn in with so many of the sentences. Its tacky and pointless. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.206.10.153 (talk • contribs) 00:57, 28 October 2006
- Well, since there is so little else of The Worst Witch on this website, the only place to discuss it's similarities with other novels (especially Harry Potter) is on this page. But it's important for people to realise that The Worst Witch came before Harry Potter, so it is recognised for its originality (that clearly inspired others). 80.47.148.228 17:01, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
- Personally I can't believe that Jill Murphy hasn't sued J.K. Rowling yet... one of the most obvious cases of plaigarism I've ever seen!Xzamuel 01:41, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh that's harsh 80.47.132.47 02:18, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
I've created a page called Works analogous to Harry Potter which features The Worst Witch. I'd appreciate it if one of you could locate an interview with Jill Murphy in which she mentions JK Rowling. I'd be even more pleased if you could locate an interview in which she ever considered suing her. As it stands, the comparisons to Harry Potter on this page are not referenced, and are therefore original research. Serendipodous 11:28, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] "Dame" Diana Rigg
I have removed the reference to "Dame" from Diana Rigg's name, because she was not bestowed with that title until 1994, almost a decade after the Worst Witch video was made... in other words, she wasn't a Dame at the time she performed in this, so she shouldn't be credited as such. Kevyn 06:02, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
- Well I have to say I disagree, because she is a Dame now, and so any reference to her made after 1994 should acknowledge this, even if talking about her career before she was dubbed. However, I don't think it's particularly important to change back, as Diana Rigg is Diana Rigg with or without titles, so I don't mind leaving it, but I do think your point is incorrect. 80.47.148.228 17:01, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ethel's Face Change
I'd just like to note in the tv series, Ethel's face was not described as plastic surgery. It was described as a "magical makeover" according to Ethel. (Personally, I never noticed the difference) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.32.28 (talk) 18:14, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
