[edit] Gamecube?

Fairly sure the time should be 1994, and there is a game cube in the video rental store. Anyone else confirm? Zachery.Woods 01:47, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I saw this as well and I had to point it out Hero Of Hyrule 02:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)HeroofhyruleHero Of Hyrule

Why are you talking about Gamecube? Is there something wrong with you?DaGrandPuba 19:33, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

No Gamecubes in 1994, they're nitpicking 198.6.46.11 14:57, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Vivica

Is it just me, or is Vivica portrayed by a different actress in the second episode? She was portrayed by Brittany Robertson in the first, and now this one looks strikingly similar to Kay Panabaker.

Correction - She is Kay Panabaker. Never mind. Sincerely, Thrashmeister {U|T|C} 02:39, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Anachronisms

I think it's going to be quite pointless to continue listing any anachronism that shows up because the set designers or script writers knowledge of 14 years prior isn't the best. --Meadowbrook 21:08, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

I agree. I think we should remove most, if not all, of the trivia listed on the page right now. W3stfa11/Talk to me 04:04, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I think I'll have to agree with this point too. Maybe a few citations, but systematically listing every little one of these movies and shows that isn't quite right for the time is tedious and pointless. EDIT: Thanks for taking care of that ChrisGriswold  :) Technocratic 16:27, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Well, I know for a fact that the first episode - the OJ chase happened on June 17th 1994 (it's my brother's birthday) so the kid would have been finishing school and in the 2nd episode, he's still in school and everyone is wearing clothing for the fall.

[edit] Roger Reference?

does anyone else see a resemblence between the homosexual guy Glen works with and Roger from American Dad? Spongemaster0 00:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, they're both doing Paul Lynde impressions.--67.85.214.140 23:08, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Main theme

The main theme of The Winner is explained at the beginning of each episode. Glen is portrayed as the richest person in Buffalo -- a stark contrast to the depth of his loser status in the body of each episode. Obviously, the producers had some plan for how Glen would strike it rich. Any word on what that plan was or is? r3 13:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DVD info

anyone have any DVD release info? 207.29.128.130 13:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Winner a Failure?

Obviously, this seems to be one of the more disappointing attempts from someone as reknowned as McFarlane. Should it be noted that it "failed", instead of just being "canceled" after 6 episodes? Zchris87v 09:05, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Family Guy Live - July 21, 2007

If anyone from Montreal, Quebec who was at the Family Guy Live show as I was and who can cite that Seth MacFarlane did say that Fox may or may not be in talks about bringing back The Winner, please help cite it.
