Talk:The Very Secret Diaries

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Middle-earth Wikiproject This article is within the scope of WikiProject Middle-earth, which aims to build an encyclopedic guide to J. R. R. Tolkien, his legendarium, and related topics. Please visit the project talk page for suggestions and ideas on how you can improve this and other articles.
Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.

I've blanked this talk page for now. It's been accumulating content on the author of the VSD. The Wikipedia policy Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons says that we must have high-quality references for negative statements on living people before they can be posted (even to talk pages). I'll be happy to correspond by e-mail if you want more information on this. Haukur 17:44, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] LiveJournal Links

I believe that if this article is strictly about the VSDs, those should be the only links contained within the article. Cassandra Claire's LiveJournal links, in both cases, are unnecessary, as the VSDs are accessible through the links already contained therein.

Having links to her LiveJournals seems more like promotion of her other works (some of which are highly controversial) and if this truly is an article strictly about the VSDs, then they are unnecessary. If, for whatever reason, Cassandra Claire warrants a biography page, those would be better suited to be displayed there.

Wikipedia is not about promoting her past, current or future works, it's about cataloguing history. Hence, I'm deleting the LiveJournal links. Feel free to discuss this action.
