[edit] Notability
O for heaven's sake - the guy's one of the world's leading theologians, written over 100 books, Prof at Oxford, this has been reviewed in many papers etc... NBeale 17:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Beyond Belief
I have deleted a new paragraph on "Subsequent developments". Nothing whatever to do with McGrath or this book! Snalwibma 07:11, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
And I have deleted it again. In the edit summary it is claimed to be relevant because it is "a confirmation of his thesis". You may consider that the statement you pull out of the conference literature (which does not, incidentally, fairly summarise the conference) is such a confirmation. But the link to McGrath exists only in your mind. There is no explicit link between the conference and McGrath's book. The addition is therefore in breach of WP:OR. It does not belong here. [edit] Berlin = godless?
Is that long quotation insinuating that Hitler was an atheist, or that Nazism was godless? Is this the same Hitler that said:
- "Therefore, I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews, I am doing the Lord's work." - Mein Kampf
or
- "Secular schools can never be tolerated because such a school has no religious instruction and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith.... We need believing people." - speech, April 26, 1933

[edit] Of interest
Anyone see a use for this article here? McGrath vs Russell on Calvin vs Copernicus: a case of the pot calling the kettle black?. It's not really a review, as such, so might not fit there, but it does seem relevant. --Dannyno 17:02, 18 June 2007 (UTC)--143.52.5.10 17:00, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's just as much a review as many of the other things cited here, or on other articles about books - e.g. The God Delusion. I think an eight-line summary of what Dan J. Bye has to say would be most useful and enlightening! Snalwibma 22:12, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
