Talk:The Tortilla Curtain
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I changed a fair amount of stuff. Most notably, perhaps, I specified the "big city" as Los Angeles, since that's pretty clearly what it is. Boyle even specifies the Topanga Canyon area, in the hills northeast of Santa Monica and Malibu. Nightsky 07:01, Nov 18, 2004 (UTC)
Does anybody know a site where i can find the content of every chapter? Anonymous 16:20, May 16, 2005 (ECT)
Try the library. Nightsky 16:54, May 17, 2005 (UTC)
Yeah! I heard they have a book just like that...I believe it's called The Tortilla Curtain

Also, isn't this statement untrue? "The Tortilla Curtain is the story of two couples who have nothing whatsoever in common except the fact that they live in the same area." The whole point of the novel is that they have a lot in common, thats why their stories are paralleled. DA723 01:56, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
That's not the only inaccuracy: It's not hinted at that people inside the development are the real villains--it's explicitly stated. (There's a bit with a security tape that gets destroyed.) I wish people would just go watch El Norte. It's much less simplistic.
Sounds gay like there are a lot of weasel words... fears the end of white supremacy? Also independent analysis.
