[edit] Syntax Question

I'm new to wikipedia...

I want to link The Question, the album, not the superhero. What's the syntax for this?

Thanks!

In the case of The Slackers, pretty much all of the albums are under the syntax "Album Name (album)", so in your case, you would use...
[[The Question (album)|The Question]]
...to link to the album itself, as opposed to the superhero.

[edit] Merge requests

I have put merge requests against all the album pages. The alternative would seem to have a separate discography page (see The Beatles and The Beatles discography for examples. Having them all separate makes it a real pain to find with no real benefitVelela 20:55, 21 January 2006 (UTC)

Against - neither option should happen. Album or track info in mass is ugly. Here's what they need:
  1. Album Infoboxes - For quick, standardized reference. These include album covers, creation & street dates, production credits, ect. on a per-album basis. There is also a chronrlogy for linear navigation between albums. (see WP:ALBUMS, for examples: Destroy What Destroys You, Live in Minneapolis, As You Were, A Place I've Never Been)
  2. Navigation Template - for navigation from any album to any other; these are useful for discographies this large. (Example: The Tick Tock Treasury)
  3. Album credits section, per album - This information comes from the liner notes. Who did the artwork? did anyone other than just the band contribute?

I agree with Dan the Cow Man, that efforts should be made to complete the information held on the album pages fitting with the WP:ALBUMS way of working. I've started adding the Album info box to the Slackers albums but i need help with the info (Boy monkey 13:11, 22 February 2006 (UTC))

Yeah I've added a bunch of stuff to the album infobox things, just adding an infobox to The Slackers now... Also, I've added links in the 'chronology' part at the bottom of the infobox.
Now added a better (im my opinion) discography section on the main Slackers page, with cover thumbnails, etc. All linked, of course. Stole the idea from the Rancid article. Pembo 04:07, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
The visual Discography looks nice. I've added a navigation box template to the albums. I think i'll concentrate on updating the album infoboxes (Boy monkey 14:53, 2 March 2006 (UTC))
I like the nav box. Good work! Pembo 07:43, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] POV-check

This article basically pimps the band. "...most notable band...", "...become a staple member of the worldwide ska scene...", "...consistently better and more diverse music...".

I updated it to reflect the updated link to David Hillyard & The Rocksteady Seven. Joshuah Hounshell 05:07, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
